EDI transactions are key to Insulectro’s supply chain communications with customers and suppliers. All EDI transactions were historically received via emails, then these transactions were processed through their legacy home-grown applications. Managing these transactions was a painstaking process, especially when onboarding new trading partners. All EDI transactions were processed via AS/400 using custom legacy technologies built over a period of 30 years. The customer was facing both scalability and stability issues. The Insulectro team expressed their intention and desire to modernize and automate their entire EDI transaction processing flows by leveraging Boomi’s unified platform.
