The primary objective of this project was to merge all accounts Payables-related functions into a single platform, thereby eliminating redundant applications and data.
Due to the nature of this business, having reliable information technology systems was of paramount importance to BNCB’s success. They selected PeopleSoft as the replacement for the Intrepid system’s Merchandise Payable functionality, along with Oracle Retail (CORE) to support Merchandising, Procurement, Stock Ledger, and Costing. It is very important for BNCB to have technology systems and applications that provide seamless integration across all business functions. Also important is the fact that these systems needed to be available 24x7 with very low tolerance for downtime.
